Hi there! I'm Catherine Bouris, and I'm 24 years old and from Sydney, Australia. I received my Bachelor of Arts in American Studies and History from the University of Sydney in 2015, and am currently studying a Master of Publishing there.
I'm a freelance writer and have written for the Saturday Paper, Sydney Morning Herald, Overland Literary Journal, The Vocal, AWOL, Everyday Feminism, Honi Soit, Daily Life, PopSugar, Archer Magazine, the Star Observer and news.com.au.
I've interned at The Walkley Foundation, Greenpeace, Network Ten, PopSugar, and Pink Hope. I was also the social media producer for Backchat on FBi Radio. For more of my employment and education history, check out my LinkedIn.
I created the Young Australian Writers Facebook group, a place for those new to the Australian media and publishing industries to network, seek advice and feedback and learn about new employment and writing opportunities.
I have been interviewed on ABC Radio National, the Friend of Marilyn podcast, and for Honi Soit, appeared at the Emerging Writers' Festival as an artist in June 2017, and at the National Young Writers' Festival as an artist in September 2017.
